New York’s Bronx. According to police, a 32-year-old male was fatally stabbed early on Thursday morning inside a home located at 1541 Selwyn Avenue.
At at 1:35 a.m., officers from the NYPD’s 44th Precinct responded to a 911 call and found the victim had been stabbed in the neck.
The individual was taken by Emergency Medical Services to BronxCare Health System Hospital, where he was declared deceased.
Although charges are still pending while the investigation is ongoing, police stated that one person of interest is in custody.
Until family members are informed, the victim’s identity is being kept secret.
Detectives are investigating the motive behind the homicide, and this attack is the most recent in a series of violent incidents in the neighborhood.
