Suspects extradited to Stamford in fatal Super 8 hotel shooting investigation


STAMFORD, Conn. — Two suspects involved in a fatal shooting at a Super 8 hotel were extradited from Rensselaer, N.Y., to Stamford on October 19, 2024, according to the Stamford Police Department.

Moises Alejandro Candollo-Urbaneja and Gregory Marlyn Galindez-Trias face multiple charges, including larceny in the first degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree, identity theft in the third degree, conspiracy to commit identity theft in the third degree, and criminal liability for the acts of another.

The suspects are currently being held on $2 million bond each and are scheduled to appear in court on November 1, 2024.


The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to pursue leads. Stamford police emphasized their commitment to the safety and security of the community.
