Teen arrested in Division Avenue robbery involving stolen scooter




Washington, D.C.Theft of a cell phone and a scooter during a robbery in Northeast Washington has led to the arrest and charging of a 16-year-old kid.

The incident took place in the 600 block of Division Avenue, Northeast, on November 28 at around 7:26 a.m. Suspects got out of a car and came up to the victim; one of them sat on the victim’s scooter and told the victim to turn around. Before escaping the scene with the scooter and the victim’s cell phone, other suspects stole it.

The young suspect, who lived in Northeast D.C., was charged with Robbery (Fear) and taken into custody on December 10 in accordance with a DC Superior Court custody order.

Police are urging anyone with more information to come forward as the case is still being investigated. For information that result in more arrests or indictments, there is a prize of up to $1,000.
