Teen injured in knife assault during juvenile altercation at Maryvale Park in Rockville

Rockville, Maryland.During a fight between teenagers in Maryvale Park on Tuesday night, a 15-year-old boy was hurt after being attacked with an edged object, according to the police.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m., Rockville City Police arrived at the 800 block of First Street in response to reports of a verbal dispute between several male teenagers. One person brandished a weapon and assaulted the victim during the altercation.

The teenager was sent to a local hospital for treatment after suffering a non-life-threatening injury. The name of the attacker and the type of weapon used have not been made public by the police.

According to authorities, the suspect left the scene before police could arrive. The inquiry is still underway, and no arrests have been made public.
