Ten Injured in Mass Shooting at New York City Nightclub

Queens, New York. During a briefing on Thursday morning, New York City police reported that several gunmen had fired on a group of individuals outside a nightclub in Queens late on Wednesday night, wounding at least ten of them.

A private gathering was taking place at the Amazura nightclub on 144th Street when the incident happened, just after 11 p.m. Four men and six women were shot, according to the authorities. Police say everyone is expected to survive.

Three to four men, thought to be in their mid-to-late teens or early 20s, are thought by investigators to have approached the group of people awaiting entry to the venue and fired about thirty rounds. The club was at full capacity at the moment, with about 90 people inside.

Although police have determined there is no connection to terrorism, they are still looking into whether the incident is tied to gangs. As of Thursday morning, no one had been arrested, and the gunman had left the site.
