Authorities in San Francisco have confirmed a recent drug-related incident resulting in the apprehension of two individuals. The operation led to the confiscation of rock cocaine, marijuana, and a substantial amount of cash totaling over $5,000.
Last Sunday afternoon at about 3:41 p.m., plainclothes officers assigned to the Tenderloin station were conducting a narcotics investigation. During their operation, they observed two individuals, a male, and a female, engaging in suspected narcotics sales from their vehicle on the 100 block of Eddy Street, as reported in a press release by the San Francisco Police Department.
The officers had sufficient evidence to apprehend the two individuals, a 39-year-old man named Jason Bell and a 46-year-old woman named Ibtihaj Hammond, both of whom reside in San Francisco. Both individuals were taken into custody and are now being held at San Francisco County Jail.
They are facing charges related to the possession and sale of cocaine base and marijuana, as well as criminal conspiracy.
Authorities confiscated more than 28 grams of a substance believed to be base rock cocaine, along with a sum of over $5,000 in U.S. currency. While some progress has been made with arrests, it’s important to note that this investigation is still ongoing.
