Snow, sleet, and ice are predicted to make travel dangerous, and a winter weather advisory is in force until noon Tuesday for portions of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, according to Morristown, TNA.
The advisory is valid for Lee and Scott counties in Virginia and Johnson, Northwest Carter, and Southeast Carter counties in Tennessee, according to the Morristown National Weather Service. One to two inches of snow and sleet, as well as a tenth of an inch of ice, might accumulate.
It can become dangerous to travel, particularly above 2,500 feet. Roads in the valley may also become slick for Tuesday morning commutes. Authorities advise drivers to exercise caution and slow down.
