Texas Flood Victims: What We Know

At least 35 people, including 14 children, have been killed by flash floods on the Guadalupe River in Central Texas. There are still about twenty-odd students AWOL from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp exclusively for girls.

The number of fatalities is anticipated to increase when rescuers continue their search of the river on Saturday. Here is everything we currently know about the deceased.

One of the participants at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, was 8-year-old Sarah Marsh, a student at Cherokee Bend Elementary in Mountain Brook, Alabama.

The mayor of Mountain Brook, a Birmingham suburb, Stewart Welch, said Sarah was one among the people killed in the disaster and expressed the city’s grief in an online statement.

He stated, “Her family, her school, and our entire community are grieving an unfathomable loss.” We are all saddened by Sarah’s departure, and our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones.
