Three Arrested in Connection with Fatal July Shooting

Maryland’s Upper Marlboro Three people connected to a deadly shooting in late July have been taken into custody by the Prince George’s County Police Department. Samuel Nnam, 22, of Upper Marlboro, and two guys, both 17 years old, one from Hyattsville and the other from Greenbelt, are among the suspects. They are charged as adults for the murder of Jordan Swan, a Bowie resident, age 23.

On July 29, at approximately 1:55 p.m., officers were called to a shooting incident. The incident happened in the unincorporated part of Greenbelt, namely in the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road. When police arrived, they discovered Swan in the parking lot of an apartment complex, having been shot. Shortly after being taken to a hospital, Swan was pronounced dead.

According to preliminary investigations, Swan was shot by the accused during a robbery. Additionally, it was proven that Nnam knew the victim.

In addition to other counts, the three individuals are accused of first and second degree murder. They are still being held without bond by the Department of Corrections. It is recommended that anyone with information on this case call the Homicide Unit at 301-516.
