Three injured, two seriously, in Alexandria crash on Glebe Road




ALEXANDRIA, VA The Alexandria Police Department reports that two people were seriously injured in a late-night crash on Glebe Road in Alexandria on Sunday night, sending three others to the hospital.

Around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, a collision happened between Russell Road and Mount Vernon Avenue. Three people were hurt when emergency personnel arrived, two of whom needed to be taken right away to the hospital due to severe injuries.

Since the investigation is still underway, authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the collision.

After the collision, Glebe Road was closed for a few hours, but just after two in the morning, authorities said that the area had been cleared and all lanes had been restored.
