MDA BALTIMORE On Saturday, North Baltimore saw a violent night as police reacted to three separate shootings in three districts, leaving one man dead and four others injured. All incidents are being investigated, and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
At 9:36 p.m., an officer in the Northeast District was on a business check near Radecke Avenue when he heard gunfire and was contacted by a 33-year-old man who had been shot in the leg. Prior to the victim being taken to a hospital, the officer administered a tourniquet and offered prompt assistance. The victim was shot on the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue, detectives eventually concluded.
Officers from the Northwest District responded to a gunfire incident earlier in the evening at approximately 8:15 p.m. in the 5500 block of Hamlin Avenue. They found a man who had been shot several times. The victim passed away from his wounds even though he was taken to a hospital right away. The case has been taken over by homicide detectives, who are looking for leads to identify the victim and the culprit.
Around 7:25 p.m., the violence in the Northern District started when police discovered two shooting victims—a 30-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man—inside a shop located in the 5100 block of Park Heights Avenue. Later, a 21-year-old male who had been shot was the third casualty to arrive at the hospital. In critical but stable condition, all three victims are still in the hospital.
Each district’s police have urged the public to help them in their investigations by providing anonymous tip lines through Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland.
