Toms River Senior Center Hosts Fall Harvest Party

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Toms River Senior Center celebrated the season with its annual Fall Harvest Party on Friday, October 25, bringing together 150 local seniors for a lively afternoon of food, music, and community spirit. The event, a highlight of the center’s seasonal programming, featured a blend of autumnal décor and entertainment that left attendees with warm memories.

The gathering included a meal provided by Naples, which catered a delicious spread that the seniors enjoyed throughout the afternoon. Tony Pileggi provided live music and entertainment, keeping the atmosphere upbeat and engaging for everyone present. Dels Farmers Market added to the festive ambiance by contributing pumpkins and cornstalks, while Frankie Brown, Paula Butterfield, and Janet Butterfield generously donated additional pumpkins, mums, and hay to enhance the seasonal décor.

A group of dedicated students from Toms River High School East volunteered their time to assist with the event, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that guests were well taken care of. Their efforts were appreciated by both the seniors and staff, who credited the volunteers with helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

“Our staff at the senior center are doing a great job,” said Mayor Dan Rodrick. “This is another successful event for our community, and we have more plans. I’m glad everyone who attended had a great time. Thank you to all the students who came out to help.”

Council President Craig Coleman attended the party, joining the seniors in the festivities and recognizing the community support that made the event possible. “It’s wonderful to see our community come together to create such a special event for our seniors,” Coleman remarked during the gathering.

The Toms River Senior Center expressed gratitude to all those who contributed, including Naples, Tony Pileggi, Dels Farmers Market, the High School East students, and individual donors, whose efforts made the Fall Harvest Party a memorable celebration.
