TOMS RIVER, N.J. — Toms River Township announced a Halloween Pet Costume Contest scheduled for Saturday, October 26, at Silverton Park. The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., will feature a parade of costumed pets, with prizes awarded to the best-dressed participants.

The township’s announcement, shared via social media, emphasized that all pets must remain leashed throughout the event. The park will serve as a venue for pet owners and their pets to showcase creative and festive outfits as part of the community’s seasonal celebrations.
