Traffic stop in Glen Burnie leads to arrest, seizure of two firearms

Glen Burnie, M.D. During a car stop in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County Police found two guns, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old man from Baltimore on Wednesday morning.

On November 20, 2024, at around 8:30 a.m., officers pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of Solley Road and Steens Hill Drive. A.308 AR10 black Diamondback handgun and a 10mm black semi-automatic Glock 29 were found in the black Dodge Caliber.

James Lee Carr, the driver, was arrested and accused of violating the law regarding guns. Additional information regarding the events leading up to the traffic stop and whether the firearms were lawfully owned has not been released by the police.

Investigations into the incident are still ongoing. No other people involved in the case or injuries were reported by the police.
