On October 27, during a firefight in the unit block of West Hamburg Street, Cameran Holt was hit by gunshot; according to the police, she was not participating in the event. After more than a week in the hospital, Holt passed away on November 7 from her wounds.
The suspects, Alexis Cancel-Soto, 20, of Baltimore; Devontaye Richardson, 28, of Hanover, Md.; and Daeshaun Clark, 27, of Severn, Md., were taken into custody on November 21 and November 25. All three are being jailed at the Central Booking Intake Facility on allegations of first-degree murder.
After being found at a hospital soon after the incident, a second victim, a 28-year-old guy who was also shot during the exchange, recovered from his wounds. According to investigators, Holt was accidentally hit during a gunfight between the suspects.
