Pa.’s Jackson Township. According to the Northern York County Regional Police Department, a fight between twin brothers turned violent on Tuesday night, sending one to the hospital with a stab wound and the other to face criminal charges.
At 6:54 p.m., police were called to a stabbing that had occurred in the 1200 block of Hanover Road. When they arrived, they discovered 24-year-old Marcus Cruz severely bleeding from his right thigh. He reported to the authorities that he had been stabbed by his twin brother, Matthew Cruz, during a dispute over a speaker.
Despite Marcus Cruz’s insistence that he had returned the speaker, Matthew allegedly accused him of not doing so. According to reports, Matthew went to Marcus’ house to confront him after walking there from his house. After meeting outside, the two brothers got into a physical brawl. Marcus claimed he felt a stinging pain during the battle and knew he had been stabbed.
Shortly after the event, Matthew Cruz was found by police strolling down a neighboring road. The weapon thought to have been used in the stabbing was found by the officers. After being taken to York County Prison on suspicion of aggravated assault, Matthew was arraigned and given a $30,000 bond amount.
Although Marcus Cruz’s condition has not been made public, he received treatment for his wounds. No other information regarding the incident has been made public by the authorities.
The example emphasizes the risks of interpersonal conflicts degenerating into physical altercations.
