Two Arrested for Organized Retail Crime at Tanger Outlets




DE’s Rehoboth Beach Shakiel Carter of Dover and Tramel Wright of Hartly were taken into custody by the Delaware State Police on Saturday afternoon for organized retail crime at the Tanger Outlets in Rehoboth Beach.

A trooper responded to a shoplifting allegation at The North Face, 36706 Bayside Outlet Drive, on Saturday at around 4:14 p.m. The trooper was notified that a female suspect was hiding goods. As the trooper arrived, a male accomplice of the suspect had left the establishment.

Before leaving the scene in a Honda minivan with the male suspect and a child, the female suspect gave a phony identity. Troopers discovered the toddler inside the abandoned van. Tramel Wright, a male suspect, was apprehended after being discovered in possession of bags suspected of containing heroin thanks to the assistance of witnesses.

At ACME Markets, the female suspect, Shakiel Carter, was taken into custody. Over $1,700 worth of stolen goods from Victoria’s Secret and Under Armour were found during a search. Wright and Carter were escorted to Troop 7.
