Two injured in doube shooting on Tioga Street

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A double shooting on the 600 block of W. Tioga Street in the 25th District left two people injured Friday night, according to police.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:48 p.m., when a 35-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to the face and two additional wounds to her shoulder. A 40-year-old man was also shot once in the left torso.

Both victims were transported to Temple University Hospital by private vehicle, where they were reported to be in stable condition, authorities said.

Police held the scene for investigation, but no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered. The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
