Rockville, MarylandMontgomery County police are looking into two fatalities that happened in Rockville just hours apart on Friday morning. One person was discovered inside a nearby car, while the other was discovered at a hotel.
Around 7:40 a.m., the first discovery was found in the Sleep Inn Hotel’s parking lot on Research Court. Reports of a deceased person in the lot prompted the response of Rockville City Police Department officers. Whether the individual was a hotel guest is yet unknown.
About half a mile from the hotel, in the center of Shady Grove Road, police later that morning found another dead victim inside a BMW. No link between the two incidents has been verified by detectives.
Both sites are being processed by Montgomery County investigators as part of ongoing investigations. While officers collected evidence, crime scene tape was positioned throughout the Sleep Inn Hotel parking lot.
The identities of the deceased and information regarding the circumstances surrounding their deaths have not yet been made public by the authorities.
