Glen Burnie, MD – On Saturday, police officers from the Eastern District responded to a report of an unresponsive two-year-old child in the 8000 block of Winding Wood Road in Glen Burnie at around 7:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the child lying face down inside the residence. The child was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives took over the investigation, gathering evidence from the home and conducting interviews. The child was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy, which revealed the presence of opioids in the child’s system.
The child’s mother, Tiffany Lynee Carr, a 34-year-old resident of Glen Burnie, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, child neglect, reckless endangerment, and related offenses.
