Unreleased Beyoncé Music Stolen During Cowboy Carter Tour in Atlanta, Police Say

Two men who claimed to be Beyonc’s dancer and choreographer told Atlanta police that last week, while the singer was on her Cowboy Carter tour, hard drives that contained unreleased music, concert set lists, and show footage plans were taken from their rental SUV.

According to a police report, the men, Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue, informed authorities that on July 8, they parked their rented 2024 Jeep Wagoneer in a parking garage near the Krog Street Market for approximately an hour.

According to the police, someone stole two suitcases that the men claimed contained their things and damaged the back glass of the car when it was left unattended.

According to the police report, which the Atlanta Police Department made public on its website on Monday, Mr. Grant also disclosed that he was carrying some private and sensitive material for the musician Beyonc.

collection lists for previous and prospective concerts, filming plans for one of the singer’s next events, and a collection of hard drives with some unreleased music were among the stolen items, according to the allegation. Additionally, watermarked music—a digital identifier used by recording artists for copyright purposes and to deter piracy—was present on the hard drives. There were also reports of a 13-inch MacBook Air being stolen.

Whether the hard drives had been kept within the two luggage was not immediately apparent. In the police report, each of the stolen hard drives was given a value of $1, which seemed to be a placeholder.

Investigators said security cameras had captured the break-in and that two officers dusted the car for fingerprints, finding two very light prints.

Officers were able to locate an individual who was identified as suspicious thanks to a stolen set of AirPods Max headphones that could be tracked via GPS.

According to an email from Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Predmore, the offender is still at large and their identification is not yet public knowledge.

The Atlanta television station, WSB, reported the break-in on Monday. The Krog neighborhood, a mixed-use complex of historic buildings and a food hall, includes the area where it occurred.

A request for comment was not immediately answered by a Beyonc spokesman.

Both Mr. Blue and Mr. Grant were not immediately reachable.

Beyonc was set to wrap up the Atlanta portion of her Cowboy Carter tour on Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This would be her fourth performance in the city in five nights.
