Ashley Dawn Solomon, 35, has been taken into custody by the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) on charges of aggravated child abuse and reckless endangerment, as stated in a probable cause statement.

An unidentified male child, who was the victim in this incident, was interviewed by authorities. According to reports, Solomon became upset during a discussion about living arrangements after consuming several alcoholic beverages.

According to the affidavit, the victim was forcefully placed onto his bed. Solomon forcefully restrained the individual, applying pressure to their chest and limbs, resulting in restricted blood flow and loss of sensation in their hands.

The victim later informed authorities that the suspect forcefully covered his mouth with her hand in an attempt to render him unconscious.

Shortly after, the victim reportedly made his way to his father’s residence.

After a medical examination, the doctor expressed serious concerns about the child’s safety if they were to return home, as stated in the affidavit.

Solomon was located and subsequently brought to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Office, where TCSO reports indicate that Solomon confessed to placing her legs over the child’s arms.

According to reports, Solomon acknowledged that she restrained the child by straddling his upper torso and placing his arms under her legs. The suspect confessed to staying in that position for around five minutes.
