Utica police arrest 18-year-old in connection with Keyamonie Davis homicide




UTICA, N.Y.The Utica Police Department said Tuesday that an 18-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the ongoing investigation into Keyamonie Davis’ shooting death on November 8, 2024.

In a coordinated investigation by the Utica Police Department, Oneida County District Attorney’s Office, and Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Quadir Pinkney of Utica was taken into custody after search warrants were executed at two locations. Pinkney was arrested, according to authorities, based on evidence found during the searches and earlier investigative results.

Second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon are the charges against Pinkney. Additional charges against Pinkney are expected, officials said.

More people are anticipated to be charged in relation to the homicide, which is still being investigated, police added.
