Virginia Beach Police Respond to Fatal Bicycle Accident




Virginia Beach, Virginia Shortly after 3:43 p.m. on November 14, Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) officers responded to a tragic bicycle accident on Indian River Road.

The 49-year-old biker from Virginia Beach, identified by investigators as Colin Sutton, left the sidewalk without stopping for oncoming traffic. Sutton was trying to cross the street when he was struck by a car.

Sutton was taken to a hospital along with the driver of the car. Sutton passed away from his wounds, and the driver was only slightly hurt. Regarding the incident, no charges are anticipated.
