Fagen Fighters WWII Museum, Granite Falls, MN

Step into the Fagen Fighters WWII Museum, and it’s as if you’ve traveled back to the 1940s. Located in Granite Falls, this museum houses an extensive collection of meticulously restored WWII fighter and trainer aircraft, each a piece of history brought to life.

Here, you can see two P-51 D Mustangs, a Lockheed P-38, and other iconic planes up close, all in pristine condition. One of the museum’s rarest exhibits is the WACO CG-4A glider, a silent aircraft used to transport troops during combat.

Among the vivid displays are murals by artist Dave Reiser, depicting the pivotal Utah Beach landing during D-Day. Bronze sculptures pay tribute to the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, capturing soldiers as they prepare for combat, embodying the division’s motto, “Steadfast and Loyal.” The museum’s Quonset hut and control tower recreate the 357th Fighter Group’s base in England, complete with authentic artifacts and a briefing room.
