Wilkes-Barre man found with paraphernalia during arrest

A man from WILKES-BARRE, PAA was arrested late Wednesday night after police found that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia and had an outstanding warrant.

Bruce Wild, 52, of Wilkes-Barre, was approached by police officers on patrol in the 100 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue at around 11:48 p.m. During the interaction, detectives verified that the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department had issued an active arrest warrant for Wild.

Officers searched him after they took him into custody and found drug paraphernalia on him. After that, Wild was taken to City Headquarters to undergo processing.

Extra Charges Submitted While Arrested

Wild was transferred to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility (LCCF) after being processed. The type of apparatus discovered was not disclosed by the authorities, but more drug possession charges were added.

Details of the initial warrant were not made public.

Wild is still being held while the inquiry is ongoing.
