Winter Storm Alert: Heavy Snow to Hit Central and East-Central Wisconsin Friday

Green Bay, Wisconsin Central and east-central Wisconsin will get significant snowfall on Friday due to a winter storm. In the afternoon and into the evening, the storm is expected to move in from the southwest.

Snowfall is expected to increase in intensity in the evening and continue into early Saturday, according to the National Weather Service Green Bay. In many places, forecasts call for more than 4 inches, and in some places, as much as 8 inches.

As the storm intensifies, the state of the roads will worsen. Authorities caution that travel can be dangerous, particularly at night and during the evening commute. Roads will be slippery, visibility will be poor, and there may be delays.

By keeping an eye on forecasts and modifying their travel schedules, residents can get ready. Although plows will continue to operate through the night, the roads can still be dangerous on Saturday morning.
