Wolcott woman wins $25K a year for life in CT lottery

WOLCOTT, Connecticut. According to the Connecticut Lottery, a Wolcott woman won a $25,000 annual reward for life after purchasing a Lucky for Life ticket in Waterbury.

Dawn M. won the Lucky for Life draw’s second-tier reward, which entitles winners to $25,000 a year for the rest of their life. The winning ticket was formally confirmed on June 23 after being sold at Waterbury’s Store 40.

Two lifetime reward levels are available in the multi-state lottery game Lucky for Life. A player must match all five white balls—but not the Lucky Ball—to earn the second-tier reward.

The drawing date and whether Dawn M. chose the cash option, which is a one-time payout of $390,000 before taxes, or the yearly payments have not been disclosed by the Connecticut Lottery.

In one of the few lottery games that offers long-term annual prize possibilities, the win represents a significant payoff for a Connecticut player.
