Woman found unresponsive near Christiana Hospital dies; police investigating

NEWARK, DELA AR.Delaware State Police are looking into the death of a 42-year-old woman from North Carolina who was discovered unconscious on Saturday night close to Christiana Hospital.

At before 8:30 p.m., police were called to an unidentified emergency near the hospital’s retention pond on Ogletown Stanton Road. Near the road, the woman—later identified as Amie Bradley—was found unconscious. Before EMS took her to the hospital, where she was declared dead, troopers tried life-saving techniques.

Bradley was not employed at Christiana Hospital, according to authorities, and it is yet unknown how she was connected to the facility. The findings of the autopsy are still pending, and the cause of death has not been established.
