Woman killed in two-vehicle crash in Wilmington, Delaware

Wilmington, Delaware—Delaware State Police are looking into a deadly incident involving two automobiles that happened in Wilmington on Thursday morning. The crash claimed the life of one woman and injured two others.

When a Honda Civic tried to turn left onto East Lea Boulevard northbound from Colony Boulevard on December 5 at around 10:20 a.m., the collision occurred. Preliminary investigations show that the Honda struck the driver’s side of a northbound GMC Yukon on East Lea Boulevard after the smaller vehicle drove into its path.

A 28-year-old unrestrained passenger in the Honda was treated at a nearby hospital after suffering non-life-threatening injuries. With non-life-threatening injuries, the GMC’s driver, a 36-year-old Wilmington male, was also taken to the hospital.

As of right now, no charges have been brought in connection with the collision; the inquiry is still ongoing.
