Woman struck with metal bottle during dispute on southbound D train at 59 Street station

BROOKLYN, N.Y. During a fight on a northbound D train on Thursday, June 5, a woman smacked a 56-year-old female passenger over the head with a metal bottle. Police are looking for the woman.

The event took place inside Brooklyn’s 59 Street subway station at around 1:00 p.m. The victim and the unnamed woman argued before the woman struck her, cutting her skull, according to the police.

Following the attack, the suspect left the station on foot and got on a southbound R train that was heading in an unidentified direction. The victim received on-scene treatment from emergency medical personnel; she was not admitted to the hospital.

The female suspect is described as having a pale complexion and a slender build. She had on a pink sleeveless shirt, blue shorts, white sneakers, a blue baseball cap, and black-framed glasses. Her hair is long and dark.

The NYPD is requesting that anyone with knowledge about the incident or the suspect’s identify get in touch with them.
