Young woman charged after brutal stabbing in Baltimore


BALTIMORE, MD

— A 21-year-old woman is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing another woman multiple times in a violent attack last month in the city’s Central District.

Investigators said De’siya Parker of Baltimore assaulted a 35-year-old woman in the 400 block of East Baltimore Street at around 12:45 a.m. on May 25. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds in what authorities described as a serious aggravated assault.

Detectives identified Parker as the suspect following their investigation and took her into custody on Monday. She was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility and formally charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The circumstances leading up to the stabbing have not been released. Officials have not indicated whether the suspect and victim knew each other.

The victim’s current condition has not been made public, and police have not shared additional details regarding the investigation.

Suspect held after late-night stabbing downtown

The arrest took place more than two weeks after the attack, following investigative work by detectives assigned to the case. No other suspects have been identified in connection with the incident.

Parker is currently awaiting court proceedings. It is not yet known whether she has legal representation.

Authorities have not confirmed whether surveillance footage, witness accounts, or forensic evidence played a role in Parker’s identification and arrest.
