$100K holiday miracle for Salisbury woman on final line of scratch-off

SALISBURY, Md. — A Salisbury woman’s luck took a festive turn this week when she scored a $100,000 top prize on the Maryland Lottery’s new Snowflake Tripler scratch-off game.

The Wicomico County resident purchased four Snowflake Tripler tickets at the Shore Stop on Parsons Road in Salisbury, planning to scratch them off at home while watching TV. After three non-winning tickets, the big surprise came on the final line of the last ticket, where she matched the winning number 13, revealing the $100,000 prize.

“I couldn’t believe it. The most money that I had ever won was $200. This was crazy,” the winner said. She plans to use her windfall to buy a car and to surprise her daughter with a special holiday gift.

For selling the winning ticket, Shore Stop will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Maryland Lottery.

The Snowflake Tripler scratch-off, launched on October 21, still has four $100,000 top prizes unclaimed, along with 31 of 33 $10,000 second-tier prizes. The game is part of the Maryland Lottery’s holiday lineup, which also includes new FAST PLAY holiday games released this month.
