40-year-old man arrested in September shooting in Southwest Baltimore


BALTIMORE, Md. — A 40-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested in connection with a September shooting in the city’s Southwest District.

Tavone Lewis was taken into custody on October 9, after detectives linked him to the shooting of a 27-year-old man on September 18 in the 300 block of South Mount Olivet Lane. The victim, who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, walked into a local hospital later that evening, prompting the investigation.

Lewis was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder and other related offenses.
