$50K Powerball win at Westbury Wholesale Club

WESTBURY, N.Y. — A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Westbury for the October 28 drawing, the New York Lottery announced on Tuesday.

The winning ticket was purchased at BJ’s Wholesale Club, located at 6000 Brush Hollow Road. The ticket holder matched enough numbers to secure the $50,000 third prize, though they did not select the Power Play option, which would have doubled the winnings.

Powerball numbers are drawn from a pool of one to 69, with a separate drawing for the red Power Ball, which is chosen from a field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., offering players the chance to win large prizes several times a week.

Lottery officials encourage all players who purchased tickets at this location to check their numbers.
