4 Nabbed by San Jose Police after They Tried to Meet Minor for Inappropriate Activities Authorities

Four men were recently apprehended by the San Jose police for allegedly engaging in inappropriate conversations with minors to commit sexual acts.

The arrests were made as a result of an investigation carried out by the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children / Child Exploitation Detail Task Force earlier this month, as stated in a department statement. According to the police, an investigation was conducted regarding online messages that led to suspects arranging to meet with a minor. The suspects were apprehended upon arriving at the agreed location.

The arrested individuals are:

  • Jonathan Nunez of Watsonville
  • Carlos Mendez of Hayward
  • Christopher Roark of Antioch
  • Christopher Hus of Los Gatos

Nunez was arrested by the police on Aug. 13. On the following day, authorities apprehended Mendez. Roark was arrested on Aug. 15. All three individuals were apprehended in San Jose.

Three individuals have been apprehended and are now in custody at the Santa Clara County Jail. They are facing charges related to attempting to engage in inappropriate communication with a minor.

According to the police, Hus managed to escape when authorities tried to apprehend him on August 16th. Following the issuance of an arrest warrant, Hus was apprehended by the California Highway Patrol in Union City and taken into custody.

Mendez and Hus are still in custody without bail, as stated in jail records.
