Police seek public’s help identifying suspect in Gaithersburg homicide

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in the ongoing investigation of a fatal shooting last month. The incident, which took place on September 22, left 37-year-old Antoine Lavale Parker dead in his apartment on Boysenberry Drive.

Authorities reported that at approximately 11:24 a.m. on that Sunday, officers from the 6th District responded to a call about a shooting in the 18500 block. Upon arrival, officers found Parker suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside his residence. Parker was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy determined that his death was a homicide.

Earlier that morning, at around 5 a.m., police had responded to the same apartment complex after receiving reports of gunshots. However, they did not find a crime scene during that initial response.

Detectives are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. The department emphasized the importance of community cooperation in helping to identify the person responsible for Parker’s death.

Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division. The investigation remains active as police work to uncover further details surrounding the case.
