Newark, NJ — As of 8:08 a.m., commuters in New Jersey are experiencing multiple delays due to heavy traffic volumes and incidents across key routes:

In West Windsor Township, northbound US 1 near Harrison Street is facing delays with all lanes open. Delays are attributed to high traffic volume.

On the New Jersey Turnpike, both inner and outer roadways are congested from Interchange 14 to just south of Interchange 14 in Newark, affecting exits 14A through 14C due to traffic volume. The I-280 westbound route from the Stickel Drawbridge in Harrison to exit 15 in Newark has delays with a reported travel time of less than five minutes. Further west, NJ 55 is experiencing volume delays in both directions near Deptford Township.

In Jersey City, the Holland Tunnel is experiencing eastbound delays at the Toll Plaza, with travel times currently at 35 minutes to the New York side.
