Teen Shot and Killed Sunday on Reisterstown Road


TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County police are investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 16-year-old on Sunday afternoon in Pikesville. Officers from the Pikesville Precinct responded to a reported shooting in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road at approximately 2:05 p.m., according to authorities.

Upon arrival, officers found the teenage victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead, police said in a statement on Monday.

Investigators believe the incident to be isolated, involving individuals who were acquainted with one another, though further details on a possible motive or suspect have not been released. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are actively working on the case and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
