Paterson, New Jersey The arrest of a man connected to six robberies that took place in a single day was announced by the Paterson Police Department. The Major Crimes Unit and Patrol Division participated in the operation, which was coordinated by Officer in Charge Isa Abbassi.
Six robberies occurred on Summer Street, 22nd Avenue, Main Street, Paterson Avenue, and McBride Avenue on October 6 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. According to reports, the suspect demanded money and sneakers from the victims while brandishing a semi-automatic weapon.
Officers in Paterson were notified by the Totowa Police Department at 1:48 p.m. about a car that fit the suspect’s description. After trying to escape and attacking an officer, the suspect—who was identified as 25-year-old Justin Rodriguez—was captured. A 50-round drum magazine and a semi-automatic weapon were found during a search.
Among the several charges against Rodriguez are six counts of robbery, felonies involving the possession of a weapon, and assault on a law enforcement official.
