Weeks of seasonal festivities, such as a Community Menorah Lighting on December 13 and free Santa visits every weekend on Haddon Avenue, are kicked off by these activities.


A festive backdrop for holiday shopping is created by the more than 250,000 lights that cover the downtown area’s tree-lined streets. The attractiveness is enhanced on Fridays and Saturdays in December when real carol singers serenade guests as they peruse neighborhood stores and eateries. Every weekend in December, Santa is open for free visits!Families are invited to Santa’s Collingswood headquarters, located at Extraordinary ED, 808 Haddon Ave. The hours for visits are 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Fridays, 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturdays, and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday afternoons. Visit Santa to fulfill your wish list, snap pictures, and take in all the entertainment, dining, and shopping that Collingswood has to offer!Additionally, keep an eye out for Santa in your neighborhood—it’s one of our favorite town customs! Beginning on December 16, Santa will drive a gorgeously decked truck around Collingswood’s neighborhoods, waving and dancing. Santa will travel the usual schedule route and visit on weeknights. Make sure to wave and greet your local firefighters when you hear them approaching in December.Starting on Friday, November 29, Santa will also be taking letters in his mailbox in front of Borough Hall. To give Santa time to respond to your letters, send them in early.

Holiday Dining, Shopping, and StrollingCollingswood is transformed into a winter paradise, with a stunning downtown shopping landscape. To make shopping easier, downtown parking is free all month long, and shopping hours are extended every Friday and Saturday in December. Look for the ideal presents to put under the tree. Additional details: www.collingsweird.comXTU Toy Truck Parade, 24th Annual, Saturday, December 14Get your car decorated, load it up with brand-new, unwrapped toys, and come see us at Cooper River at 8 a.m. On-site judges of the best-decorated cars will be XTU radio hosts. To get to the Scottish Rite, trucks will parade through Collingswood. XTU will be at the Scottish Rite at around 10:45 a.m., collecting gifts from our incredible listeners and assembling a toy mountain. The Camden County Boys & Girls Clubs will receive all donated toys.


Saturday, December 14, 5:00 PM, Second Saturday Arts and MusicStarting at 5:00 PM, the festive lights will create an even more memorable Second Saturday experience!
