Glen Burnie traffic stop leads to drug and firearm seizure, arrest of Baltimore man


GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A traffic stop in Glen Burnie on Wednesday led to the arrest of a Baltimore man and the seizure of a loaded handgun and significant quantities of illegal drugs, according to police.

The incident occurred on October 30 at around 10:40 a.m. when officers pulled over a black Infiniti SUV in the area of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Marley Station Road. During the stop, officers discovered and confiscated approximately 64 grams of suspected MDMA, 86 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 51 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, as well as various drug paraphernalia, $1,120 in cash, and a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 handgun.

The driver, identified as Eddie Arthur Johnson, 48, of Baltimore, was arrested and faces multiple charges related to drug possession and firearm violations.


Authorities have not released further details regarding Johnson’s charges or upcoming court appearances.
