Gunshots in Severn, One Car Struck


SEVERN, Md. — Police are investigating damage to a vehicle that may have been caused by gunfire after gunshots were reported in a Severn neighborhood. Officers responded to the 8500 block of Pioneer Drive around 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, following a report of vehicle damage.

The victim told police that he discovered damage to his 2019 Ford Transit while preparing to leave for work. He also recalled hearing gunshots outside his apartment the previous evening, around 8:00 p.m. on November 11, though he did not immediately check his vehicle at that time.

At the scene, officers recovered a .45 caliber shell casing and multiple shotgun shell casings, suggesting that multiple rounds had been fired in the area. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident, and the damage appears to be limited to the vehicle.
