Man killed, two injured in triple shooting in Essex


ESSEX, Md. — A man was fatally shot, and two others were injured in a triple shooting Saturday afternoon in Essex, according to Baltimore County police.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3 p.m. on November 9, 2024, in the 800 block of Bayner Road. When they arrived, they found one man suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two additional victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said on Sunday. Authorities have not released further details about the victims’ identities or the circumstances leading up to the shooting.


According to police, the suspect fled the area following the shooting. Officials described the incident as isolated and stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
