Overturned Car Carrier Closes Ramp in Wall Township

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — An overturned car carrier trailer caused traffic disruptions near the South Wall Interchange on Wednesday, prompting the temporary closure of a major highway ramp, according to Wall Township Police.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of the accident at the ramp from State Highway 34 southbound to State Highway 70 westbound. Although the trailer overturned, police reported no injuries resulting from the incident.

“The ramp from State Hwy 34 south to State Hwy 70 west will be temporarily closed,” the Wall Township Police Department announced on social media, advising drivers to plan alternate routes.

The closure is expected to remain in place until crews can safely clear the overturned trailer and assess any potential damage to the roadway. Officials have not provided an estimate on how long the ramp will remain closed.

Police and emergency personnel continue to monitor the scene as they work to minimize the impact on local traffic. Further updates are expected as cleanup efforts progress.
