Police search for stolen French Bulldog after Southwest D.C. burglary


WASHINGTON, D.C. — A dog was stolen during a burglary in Southwest D.C., and police are seeking the public’s help in locating the missing pet.

The burglary occurred on Monday, Oct. 21, at approximately 8:00 a.m. in the Unit block of Galveston Place, Southwest. The suspect or suspects broke into a locked residence and fled with property, including a 1-year-old French Bulldog named Franklin.

Franklin is described as a dark gray French Bulldog with a distinctive mark below his nose. A photo of the dog has been released by police.

Anyone with information on Franklin’s whereabouts or the burglary is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
