Second suspect arrested in D.C. armed robbery


WASHINGTON, D.C. — A summer robbery in Southeast Washington has led to a second arrest, as detectives took 20-year-old Reginald Porter into custody on October 31. Porter, a Southeast D.C. resident, is charged with Armed Robbery (Gun) for his alleged involvement in the June 28 incident on Bowen Road.

The robbery occurred around 7:05 p.m. when two suspects approached a pedestrian, demanded property, and threatened the victim with a firearm. After seizing the victim’s belongings, the suspects fled in a waiting vehicle driven by other accomplices.

This recent arrest follows the detention of a 19-year-old suspect from Northeast D.C., who was apprehended on September 25 and also charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).


Investigators continue to work on the case and are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. Tips can be submitted by calling (202) 727-9099 or texting 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to further arrests or convictions in this case.
