Tinley Park, IL – The Village of Tinley Park and its Veterans Commission will hold a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11, to honor U.S. military personnel. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at Gen. Patrick E. Rea Veterans Plaza, located at the south entrance of the 80th Avenue Metra train station at 18001 S. 80th Avenue.
The ceremony will feature music by the Central Middle School band, flag-raising activities, and a gun salute. Local leaders will give short speeches to pay tribute to the sacrifices of military members. Organizers encourage community members to attend in person to show their support.
For those unable to attend, the Village of Tinley Park will livestream the entire ceremony on its official Facebook page. This virtual option ensures that everyone can participate in honoring veterans, regardless of location.
