Virginia Jail Guard Arrested for Acts Against Female Inmate


STAFFORD, Va. — A 60-year-old correctional officer was arrested Monday on multiple felony charges related to alleged misconduct involving a female inmate, according to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies received information on October 21 at approximately 10:42 a.m. about possible improper contact between a correctional officer and a female inmate at Rappahannock Regional Jail, located at 1745 Richmond Highway. The allegations prompted detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division to respond.

Following an investigation, the suspect, identified as Chadwick Jackson of King George, was taken into custody without incident later that day. Jackson faces three felony counts of sexual battery and two felony counts of carnal knowledge of a prisoner by a correctional officer.
