Sugarloaf woman detained for public intoxication in Wilkes-Barre

After discovering that a lady was under the influence of a controlled substance, police detained her for public intoxication on Friday morning after responding to a report of a rowdy person on Kidder Street.

Around 8:30 a.m., officers were called to 815 Kidder Street in response to a report regarding a lady who was refusing to leave the building. When they got there, they recognized the woman as Danielle Andrefski, 36, of Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania.

Police determined that Andrefski was a danger to herself because of her condition after noticing that she was obviously impaired.

She was arrested and brought to City Headquarters, where she remained until she was sober again.
